ABOUT US

OPERATEC – ENGINEERING & SERVICES, LDA was founded in March, 1996 by Mr. Terry Ray and a group of local Angolan partners, initially to assist in the development and execution of infrastructure projects in Angola. The company has participated in many notable projects throughout Angola in addition to being the first to import buses, heavy vehicles and equipment.

Through the years the company has built a reputation as a reliable and innovative company, achieving the recognition as a solution service provider for local subsea oil and gas industry. Operatec’s management team has expertise in the following areas:  drilling management, engineering, HSE and dispatch/logistics personnel services to major oil and gas producers, oil field IRM (Inspection Repair and Maintenance) commercial diving services and material supplier solutions.

To support dive operations, our dive team has used two IMCA surface diving (D037) mixed gas spreads in full-time use at the Malongo concession and the Ullswater SOV. Saturation Diving Vessels were used in this contract.

As a group looking for innovative solutions, in June 2010, OPERATEC – Engineering & Services, LDA acquired a plot of land in Cabinda Province to develop the Offshore Marine Industrial Training Center (OMITC) to provide offshore industrial and maritime survival training and operates as a complete OPITO-recognized training center for chevron’s independent service and support personnel and support personnel and any people working offshore.
